Right after the day I had a conversation with my stepdaughter about Egyptian worship of cats and the atypical serpentine appearance of their eyes, this popped up on a forum page I occasionally visit.
Whether it is the Eastern or Western security services, it doesn't matter. I have no sides except the Biblical side.
