In fact this storyline is in the jesuit movie with denzel washington, "the siege" from ... 1998, where bruce willis plays a bald, arrogant "traditionalist christian" general who takes over the country with the military, because the FBI and especially CIA don't touch the arab ghettos after a series of terrorist attacks. Very creepy movie.
