Dutch football fans rampage through Rome

Hundreds of fans of Feyenoord, the Dutch football club, clashed with armed Italian riot police in one of Rome’s most beautiful piazzas on Thursday, capping a torrid week for European football.

Police in protective helmets beat back hundreds of fans who had rampaged through the streets of central Rome before converging on the cobbled square beneath the Spanish Steps (Spanish square).

Images released by Italian media showed Dutch fans, who were in Rome for a Europa League match with the local team AS Roma, hurling bottles and stones at police. Several men were also caught on camera apparently giving the fascist salute while standing on the piazza’s central Barcaccia fountain.
Police said 20 people had been arrested and more than 10 injured during the clashes.
The clashes cap a torrid week for European football following racist comments from one of Italy’s top officials Arrigo Sacchi who said too many “coloured” players featured in Italian football.
On Tuesday, a group of English football fans attached to Chelsea FC at an away game in Paris were caught on camera blocking a black passenger from getting on a Metro train.
“Rome is devastated and injured . . . This doesn’t finish here,” Ignazio Marino, Rome’s mayor, said via Twitter. He added he was in contact with the Dutch ambassador.

Yesterday, 23 Feyenoord fans were arrested after causing trouble in Rome's Campo de Fiori.
Roma hosts the Dutch club in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 match tonight.
Feyenoord was thrown out of the 2006-07 UEFA Cup after crowd trouble during a group stage match at Nancy.

Very plausible that Bruno and Galileo were only jesuit puppets "shadow" martyrs. They were both "judged" by jesuit Bellarmine. The jesuits having amassed much scientific knowledge wanted to open up a new  "scientific" anti-christian front, which would propagate atheism as a denial of the maker (demiurge), but this, of course, could never happen within catholicism at that time, because that would undermine the superstitions that Rome was still using back then to further its empire and would blow away her christian cloak. Only as gnosticism from other currents became more perfused and prevalent in the world , a  reconciliation between scientism and catholicism became possible (as is now with evolutionist and alien baptising popes).
