The kiss of Judas

The church, the mystical body of Christ, will go through an ordeal much the same in character as it's head's, [Christ's], when the next generation of wicked men will submit to the will of Antichrist and go after the holy remnant. (Col 1:18+1 Cor 12:26+Acts 22:7+Matthew 10:24; John 15:18; Revelation 11:7,11+Luke 22:53+Matthew 12:40; Prov 30:14).

Just before our Lord was crucified, he was betrayed by Judas Iscariot with a kiss, as an ultumate expression of contempt by Satan (in defiance of Psalm 2:12). Before that, at the last supper, which was when Christ for the final time foretold WHO was to betray him and be responsible for his death, all of the disciples were unaware of the impending trouble, until the very last moment.  Likewise, the blinded apostate "christendom", including the entirety of protestantism, will return to Babylon (2 Kings 25:7), after it had fought side by side with the enemies of the Lord (2 Chronicles 18:3) and accepting the pope's power (John 5:43). We are approaching the times of the "last supper" for the church, when the papacy will have deceived much of her similarly (Judges 16:18), she having leaned on Pharaoh (Isaiah 30:1; 36:6) for deliverance from carnal enemies, which are no enemies at all (Ephesians 6:12).
