No, that last point is not a mistake. The great historical paradox of the Crimean war—and of the longer-term Russo-Turkish conflict of which it was one episode—is that Anglican England and Roman Catholic France were aligned with Islam's sultan-caliph against the tsars who saw themselves as the world's last truly Christian emperors. Above all, the western Christian powers were determined to avoid any reversal of the Muslim conquest of Istanbul: “The Russians shall not have Constantinople” chorused an English music-hall song.

How did the various players in this strange religious game explain themselves to their own pious subjects? For the theocracies of Russia and Turkey, and their God-fearing soldiers, things were fairly straightforward: they were fighting, respectively, for Christianity and Islam.
It was harder, you might think, for the Church of England and the Catholic establishment in France to explain their support of the caliphate. In fact, they found it easy enough to construct the necessary arguments. First, British and French clerics demonised Russian Orthodoxy as a semi-pagan creed. Second, they maintained that in some peculiar way the Ottoman empire was more friendly to its Christian subjects than the tsar was. (The Ottomans tolerated Protestant missionaries, so long as the evangelisers limited their search for souls to Orthodox Christians.)
In the spring of 1854, as the Crimean fighting began in earnest, an Anglican cleric declared that Russian Orthodoxy was as “impure, demoralising, and intolerant as popery itself”. What could be more natural, then, than to team up with Islam and popery to cleanse that terrible impurity? A French newspaper, meanwhile, gave warning that the Russians represented a special menace to all Catholics because “they hope to convert us to their heresy”.
As Mr Figes recalls, the tactical friendship between Western Christians and Ottoman Muslims had its limits. To be sure, British envoys to the Holy Land probably found more in common with lordly Ottoman administrators than with the exuberant faith of Orthodox Christian peasant-pilgrims. But not all Muslim Turks were overjoyed at being embraced, and hailed as Christian-friendly, by Western powers. When in 1856 the sultan yielded to Western pressure and granted Christians some equality, there was a backlash from the Islamic establishment across the empire.

The blood and tears of millions of orthodox christians were/are needed to justify the last CRUSADE, a crusade coming from the east with a potential "return" of the  King and a reconquest of Constantinople.1917 was too early for the Vatican to enlarge via this avenue. They still had scores to settle with Germany and Russia wasn't completely prepared. That is why the 1917 revolution was needed. To further purge and polarize Russia against the west and to give Islam a breath of air. It is strange how even among Orthodox bulgarians and Russians who were tortured and slaughtered under communism, the anti-western sentiment has remained. The "party" never really changed the imperialistic mindset of the russians, only sugar coated it in the false slogans of "brotherhood" and "comradeship" within "mother party".

One Turkish opposition politician estimates that Turkey has paid $800 million to ISIS for oil shipments. Another politician released information about active duty Turkish soldiers training ISIS members. Critics note that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has met three times with someone, Yasin al-Qadi, who has close ties to ISIS and has funded it.
Why the Turkish support for wild-eyed extremists? Because Ankara wants to eliminate two Syrian polities, the Assad regime in Damascus and Rojava (the emerging Kurdish state) in the northeast.

June 26, 2014 update: İslami Giyim (Islamic dress), a shop in Istanbul's Bağcılar district, sells T-shirts with the ISIS emblem, though the owner denies any ties with the group. He told the BBC:

This sort of behavior represents business as usual for the global elite(.......). It is reminiscent of the attitude prevailing after the CIA and Pakistani intelligence installed the Taliban in Afghanistan. Recall the ebullience of the U.S. State Department after the Taliban captured Kabul and took power in the mid-1990s.

Likewise, the elite will deal with ISIS and covertly support endless sectarian and religious strife and violence in the resource rich Middle East. The Atlantic Council and its partners approve and are pushing for endless conflict between Sunnis and Shi’as because this will serve to erode the influence of Shia Iran. Like Iraq under Saddam Hussein, a relatively powerful and influential Iran will not be tolerated and must be rolled back at all cost, no matter if that cost will be a staggering loss of human life.

Secondly, after the successful NAU/NATO crusade against Shia Iran(....), Sunni Turkey leading the Sunni Muslim world will break away from NATO and side with Russia.  NATO will dissolve, morphing into EU forces, then to break away from its coalition with the NAU.  For the US alone will be blamed for the destruction of Mecca, Medina and the Jerusalem mosques.  Because of this “outrage,” the pope’s beloved Roman Catholic EU (Revived Roman Empire, Revelation 13:1-2) will then side with the communist Allied powers, just as anti-Jew, crypto-fascist Jesuit Stalin sided with communist Jesuit FDR and communist Jesuit Churchill after anti-Jew, fascist/Nazi Jesuit Hitler invaded Russia in 1941.

Thirdly, China will side with Russia and Sunni Islam for the subsequent Sino-Soviet-Muslim-EU invasion of North America.  With the betrayal of U.S. forces by the Order’s Joint Chiefs of Staff running the pope’s Pentagon, American borders and coastlines will be wide open for massive invasion.

Wonder why I don't buy into this scenario. Maybe because Russia backs the Shia side of this conflict. The words of Alberto Rivera are being confirmed......Fatima is to be the BAIT for the upcoming SWALLOWING of 50% and more of the pie of the population of the world by Rome. This is no surprise as, the Orthodox church DOES NOT need major reforming in order to be conformed to the Vatican. It needs to RECOGNIZE(bow down to) the Pope and ASSUME it's "apostolic" stance/worldview, in other words become MILITANT (Church militant, understand "active"). Orthodox "christians" would never allow many changes in ritual. The "Old believers" of the Orthodox church split over what now would appear minor issues. So a simple SUBJUGATION and INVIGORATION of this structure is all what is need for Rome to go to the next phase of its conquest.

The russian people are capable of very great and deep spiritually....but they have never been apostolic....

and I believe that it is our lady's choice that Russia be converted in order to turn the russian nation into the greatest nation of apostles the world has ever seen

and they because of their geographical location, because of their spirituality and because of the fact that even in the 20th century they have dominated all of the east through the power of communism and all of islam through the power of the soviet republics ....

Both the Franciscans and Dominicans were founded about the year 1215. Both Francis and Dominic had a crusading spirit. When I began to look at this 20th century that the most significant event of this 20th century is the apparition of our lady at Fatima. And so we return ourselves to the message of Fatima. First of all, why do we call her our lady of Fatima? Because she appeared in a little village called Fatima. Who is Fatima?

The daughter of Muhhamad. We think of the message of Fatima as being primarily for us Catholics or a little deeper - for Russia.Now I'm introducing you to the fact that its also a message for China and for Islam.

She has a special message for the moslems. And for the Chinese. She chose to appear to a young child named FRANCISCO,the name of the boy, the cousin of sister Lucia, other girl's name is Jacinta. NAME JACINTA IS HYACINTH. So from the 12 century you see the magnificient tapestry of the Catholic history.... Jacinta and Francisco both prayed for the conversion of Russia.

Both being named after two great apostles who tried to convert the Moslems and pagan Chinese.

Sister Lucia, who is her patron saint - saint Lucy....at her death she prophesied that in ten years the persecution will come to an end.....
We know its going to happen, therefore we know that the end of the world is not imminent[ - Matthew 24:36
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.], because our Lady promised

1 The popes would consecrate Russia because its been promised. China, Islam will be converted through the work of the Russian people. And by that miracle(the consecration) his power and her glory will be made manifest to the world.

When the consecration is done a period of peace will be granted to the world. And that period is going to be sufficient for the conversion of many millions and billions perhaps of people.
