Pro-gov’t journalist claims Erdoğan to become caliph if presidential system adopted
A journalist from the staunchly pro-government Yeni Akit daily has suggested that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will be the new caliph of the Muslim world and host representatives of Muslim countries at his palace if Turkey adopts a presidential system.
"If Tayyip Erdoğan switches to a presidential system, he is likely to appoint advisors to him from Muslim countries located in regions that are under the caliphate and he will open representative offices of all of them in 1,005 rooms of Beştepe [presidential palace],” Yeni Akit columnist Abdurrahman Dilipak says in a speech published by the independent news website T24 on Saturday. Dilipak's statements were reportedly from a speech he delivered in Toronto last week as part of the Justice and Development Party's (AK Party) election campaign. His remarks came after his comments that caliphate was not completely abolished in 1924, but it can be resurrected by Parliament. Caliph, "successor" in English, is a word used to describe the political leader of the global community of Muslims who claims succession from Prophet Muhammad. Dilipak's Yeni Akit earlier voiced similar claims in an article which argued that Erdoğan is a caliph and, along with Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, waiting for the appearance of Mahdi, the Messiah. The article asserted that Mahdi will take an active role in the war in Syria and after the defeat of the armies of the Western powers in that country, he will head for Jerusalem to conquer the city with the help of the caliph. Moreover, the article claimed that the presidential palace known as "Ak Saray" was constructed to govern the provinces that will be occupied by Mahdi's army. The article also stated that Erdoğan and Davutoğlu want to be martyred fighting against enemies. Turkey has a parliamentary system of governance in which the head of government is the prime minister while the president is mostly a ceremonial figure. President Erdoğan has long been expressing his ambitions to transform Turkey into a presidential system in which he will hold the powers of both head of state and head of government. In order to realize his dream, Erdoğan needs a constitutional change, which can only be carried out by the AK Party if it holds 400 of the 550 seats in Parliament, as the opposition parties do not approve of such a change. Erdoğan's ambitions were disrupted after the June 7 election, when the AK Party could not secure enough seats in Parliament to both form a government alone and to change the Constitution. With Erdoğan's alleged meddling in efforts to form a coalition government after the election, Turkey is heading for a snap election on Nov. 1, during which the AK Party will one more time try to win 400 seats in Parliament.

Three prominent jesuits have each gone their way to the predetermined location where they have go about the tasks set by their Dark lord in Rome.
1. Felix Koerner SJ, involved in the deliberate radicalization of Turkey by cheap provocation within secularist circles in Ankara university around the time of the reelection of Erdogan. Expert on Quranic studies, who, by purported plans to "reform" islam, induced a return to fundamentalism in the muslim community of Turkey and brought down any hope of interfaith dialogue.

This is the triumph of hope over fact-checking. "Tin-opener theology" is how the leading Western expert on the subject dismisses the efforts at Ankara University to date. Father Felix Koerner, a German Jesuit, has taught at the university and published the definitive source-book on the supposed reform. He explains that the Ankara theologians want to open up the Koran like a tin can, and take what they want out of it, without touching the real problems of Islamic theology. On this more below.
Oddly, it is not just the Western media who have gotten it wrong. A conspiracy theory is circulating among Muslim traditionalists that the Jesuits are plotting with Turkey's secularists to undermine Islam. In February, a Muslim website in Britain, Ummahpulse.com, denounced the Society of Jesus as "the pope's special forces attempting to infiltrate Muslim lines". The notion of a "Jesuit plot" against Islam is a paranoid hallucination, for there is no consensus among the Jesuits regarding Islam, much less a plot. A handful of patient Jesuit scholars are immersed in Muslim theology, seeking a dialogue with prospective Islamic reformers. .....
....It is true that the Jesuits have someone to talk to in Turkey, but it is not clear that they have much of substance to talk about. Muslim traditionalists warn of a plot cooked up by the Jesuits in cahoots with Turkey's secular government.
2. Paolo Dall'Oglio SJ, thought to be "kidnapped by rebels on 29 July 2013." Unknown exact role in the situation. May be supplying ISIS with logistical, strategic and even "prophetic" information through puppet imams. Well versed in islamic eschatology (end times), which is a key element in ISIS propaganda and planning. Could be the overlord of ISIS to the day of their destruction or assimilation or a future martyr for catholicizm, after having performed his duties.
“It became evident later on that the Christian has a track record of dealing with infidel intelligence agencies,” he added.
There are no precise details about the reasons for his detention. What is certain is that Father Paolo went to ISIS himself after he entered the Syrian territories - which he had been expelled from - through Turkey. He headed to the city of Raqqa where he went around and met a number of rebels and activists based on a prearranged program. The program included meeting ISIS leaders for several reasons, including mediating to release two French journalists detained by the organization. But the reasons had nothing to do with the case of the two kidnapped bishops Yohanna Ibrahim and Boulos Yazigi.....
3. Constantine Simon SJ, recently moved to Russia. In 2014 it was announced that he has converted to the Orthodox church.
A conversion is an almost impossible carrier move for a jesuit due to two reasons.
1 perpetual vow of obedience to the pope 2 superiority of style and content of latin theology
Several days ago the Russian pravmir website reported on his giving vows to become a monk at the St Peter monastery in Moscow (about 1 km away from the Kremlin). As he is a foremost expert on Vatican-Russian relations and Orthodoxy, his "conversion" may be a smokescreen for the beginning of a phase of a more direct preparation and control over Orthodoxy for the conversion of Russia. The man could even be a personal advisor to the future Russian Tzar.
In a very exhaustive interview (not going to put it here as it is in Russian) he declares that the Russian college of Rome, which is run by the jesuits, has long failed in its goal of converting Russia and doesn't maintain its proselytizing stance anymore. In the same interview he praises Orthodoxy as more "spiritual" and recounts a story where he felt the presence of God in an Orthodox church, whereas he never felt much of a spirit in the Russian college, run by his jesuit brethren. This feigned retreat (the jesuits never retreat), of which the Balamand declaration is a milestone, is only the waves retreating before the catholic tzunami east.

Father Constantine was Doctor of Philosophy and professor of Slavic and Russian History in the Pontifical Oriental Institute (Rome), he was its vice rector, member of Jesuit Order, advisor of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.
Hieromonk Constantine (Simon) was born in 1955 in New Jersey (the USA) to a family of Orthodox and Protestants. He dedicated his life to studying history of the Orthodox Church, constantly cooperated with Russian and other Slavic communities of Europe, and lectured Church History in various universities of the world.

Reports from the meeting quoted the pope saying that Islam was incapable of reform, to which other participants took objection.
Christian Troll, a German Jesuit, sent the following correction to the website of Daniel Pipes on January 17, 2006:
The Holy Father is well-informed enough to know that there have existed and that there exist today, probably increasingly, other interpretations of the Koranic evidence with regard to a theology of revelation. These considered Muslim views and approaches do not (yet?), it would seem, inform the thinking and approach of a sizable Islamic movement or organization - and we do not know what future problems lie ahead in this regard - but it does exist and is vividly discussed in many places, both in academia and beyond.
"Reformation" "Problems" "touching" Just the words needed to pull a string in the bigoted and paranoic muslims. Could these "views" and "approaches" involve acknowledging Mary as mother of the muslims as the first step of a future unification? Even if those interpretations are only an empty baloon of air, only a threat of "antonomianism" of islam, it is worth considering what is planned for after the crusades.

It appears that Koerner has spent the last few years befriending and "advising" the Ankara school of would-be revisionists whilst at the same time ministering in a state-sanctioned church of Turkey (no high-up government connections there then ...) ... Specifically, Koerner concerns himself with how to infect his Turkish "disciples" with the types of discourse which have led to the current and ongoing disintegration of the Christian Church.
Ha-ha-ha. The jesuits want the disintegration of the christian church? Ah, but yes, their "liberation theology" and compromising theological paradigm would give that impression. But if the "turkish fundamentalists" had actually studied history, they would find other and better reasons to oppose the jesuits. Were they talking about the Reformation? "Muslim Reformers"? Rome has successfully implanted the rhetoric of "the reformation destroyed the christian world" in the minds of these deluded heathen.
And for those of you who might think that we here at UmmahPulse are just paranoid, please note that when the pope visited Ankara in November 2006, we were watching and listening as his colleagues declared that the "80-year-old German theologian known for his sharp intellect - has a much broader agenda than merely improving ties between Catholics and Orthodox Christians. Part of that agenda is an attempt to help spark Islamic theological reform".
It is all dead, flat wrong, a tempest in an ibrik (Turkish coffee pot). None of the reporters seems to have read the basic source documents. The Ankara professors never were going to launch an Islamic reformation; Koerner and Troll were not going to put them up to it; and the Turkish government wouldn't let it happen, even if everyone else wanted it. Muslim traditionalists denounce the Ankara professors as instruments of the Turkish secularists, while the June 8 Newsweek report claims that they enjoy the patronage of Turkey's Islamist government. Both claims are false, in fact; the Ankara theologians have no real political patron.
Turkey's Islamist government, led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, finds itself in mortal confrontation with the country's secularist army and civil institutions. Prosecutors have demanded that the Constitutional Court ban Erdogan's Justice and Development Party (AKP) party, an Islamist party whose support depends on the popular Muslim piety of the countryside. The Koranic hermeneutics of the Ankara theologians will be ignored in the confrontation.
Ignored in the confrontation, but enlarging the camp of Erdogan. That is what you call clean work. By simulating conspiratorial activity, the jesuits have practically delivered Turkey to the AKP.
"Turkey's moves toward greater religious freedom, which some saw as the sign of an evolving moderate Muslim society, have been put on hold by a political crisis that could outlaw the post-Islamist ruling AKP," according to Reuters' religion editor Tom Heneghan in a May 23 dispatch. "Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan, whose bid to lift a ban on Islamic headscarves at universities triggered the crisis, would probably not champion further religious reform even if he won the court case against his party, Turkish analysts say."
As noted, Father Koerner shows that what the Ankara theology department has in mind is not a reformation in any sense of the word. It is not even theology in the sense most people understand the word. Following the late Pakistani theologian Fazlur Rahman (1919-1988), the Ankara group argues that some of the revelation in the Koran was directed to specific people at a specific point in time, and is subject to revision. This includes such matters as polygamy, the wearing of veils, and other matters in which the Koran appears egregiously out of touch with the times.
